For years, I have always wanted to attend ReCon. Since about 2005 or so, I’ve read all the slides and papers that came out of ReCon. It is one of the few conferences I really ever cared to follow. This year, the first time I was able to attend, I was actually invited to speak there also! The conference start also fell on my birthday! I spoke there on my recent interest in software sandboxing technologies, specifically Google Chrome. Despite a rerouted flight, and the lack of Air Conditioning in the conference hotel, it was still a great experience. My talk went well and I got to meet a bunch of people who’s work I have long admired.
